New construction of a heating center

Weinsberg Teaching and Research Institute for Viticulture and Fruit Growing / Heuchlingen Fruit Experimental Estate
Scope of delivery: 2 pieces Flexilo® MAXI HPM 30/31
Storage quantity: approx. 22 tons
Removal: Spiral conveyor system with suction point
Fill level monitoring: demand detector including control
Boiler output: 130 kW

Task
The Heuchlingen fruit test farm was supplied by a defective, fault-prone oil heating boiler system. For a new, contemporary energy supply to the area, a new energy concept was necessary that takes into account the special features of the fruit, takes into account the requirements of the Renewable Heat Act and fulfills the target agreement of the state of Baden-Württemberg for CO2 reduction.

execution
To accommodate the new energy supply, a new heating center was built east of the existing fruit storage hall. There is space for a 130 kW pellet boiler with buffer storage and a large heating water distributor. Two A.B.S. were used to store the pellets. Silos with 11 tons each were set up. In addition, a photovoltaic system will be installed on the roof.

Special feature
Cooling the apples in the fruit storage hall generates a large amount of heat that was previously released into the environment unused. This thermal energy was integrated into the heating system.
